The Transit Team is updating the Durham Transit Plan.
Durham is working on a new Transit Plan. We need your input to help improve and expand public transportation in Durham.
The Transit team has drafted goals and objectives for the Transit Plan based on the Listening and Learning phase and additional past engagement such as Participatory Budgeting and resident focus groups for the annual City-County Resident Satisfaction Survey. The team has released a survey to make sure we understand residents’ public transportation priorities and that they are reflected in the Transit Plan goals and objectives.
For the Transit Plan to be successful, we must engage all Durham residents. The City of Durham and Durham County are committed to racial equity, as we work to ensure that all voices in our community are heard. Efforts to gain input from people of color and low–income communities will be prioritized throughout this planning process. Success will be measured in large part by the benefits that proposed transit improvements and projects bring to those communities. Learn more about our equitable engagement plan.
