Durham's New Comprehensive Plan Update

Durham is working on a new Comprehensive Plan, a long-range vision for our community! The Comprehensive Plan guides what can be built where in Durham. The final public hearing on the new Comprehensive Plan was held Thursday, August 31, before the Board of County Commissioners and the City Council.

The plan will now be brought to each elected board for adoption, scheduled for the October 9, 2023, Board of County Commissioners meeting and the October 16, 2023, City Council meeting (the October 9th and 16th considerations of the Comprehensive Plan are not public hearings).
